Son of Matthew and Agnes Baillie, of Cessnock, New South Wales, Australia.

Any Digger who has recollection of the fate of 13/159,  Tpr. Robert Porteous Baillie, 3rd Auckland Mounted  Rifles, reported missing and believed killed in action on Aug. 8, 1915, at Lone Pine. — Wanted by John Baillie,  "Mercury" office, Lithgow (N.S.W.).

Mr. Matthew Baillie, of Cessnock, has been notified of the death of his son, Private Robert Porteous Baillie, who had previously been reported missing.  Private Baillie was attached to the New Zealand forces, having enlisted in the Dominion soon after the outbreak of war.  News of his death was sent to Rev. Reay-Campbell of Cessnock.
