Son of George and Elsie Maxwell Weston, of West Leederville, Western Australia.
Mrs E. M. Weston, was advised by the authorities that the earlier advice was incorrect and that her son lost his life while pursuing an enemy air craft over Bona Harbour at 6.40 am on January 6 last. The late F/O Weston was a Beaufighter pilot and both he and his observer lost their lives In this action
Flying-Officer Ronald Victor Weston, RAFVR, whose death was reported last week as having occurred in the United Kingdom, actually lost his life over the harbour at Bona, Algeria. His mother, Mrs E. M. Weston, was advised by the authorities that the earlier advice was incorrect and that her son lost his life while pursuing an enemy air craft over Bona Harbour at 6.40 am on January 6 last. The late F/O Weston was a Beaufighter pilot and both he and his observer lost their lives in this action.

Crashed into a cliff near Bône Harbour whilst attempting to land there following loss of one engine.
