IN MEMORIA AETERNA ERIT JUSTUS. REQUIESCAT IN PACE

At 0006 hours on 31 August 1943, Halifax DK207 took off from Holme-on-Spalding Moor to attack Monchengladbach, Germany. The aircraft was shot down by a night fighter and crashed at 0358 hours near Grathem, 10 kms south of Roermond, Netherlands, killing five of the crew members.
