Biography contributed

Albert Hinchmore was the son of Mr. William and Louise Mary Hinchmore of Latrobe, Tasmania.

His brother, 2704 Private Richard Hinchmore 12th Battalion AIF, was killed in action at Mouquet Farm 19-22 August 1916, aged 31.

Another brother, 1614 Private Arthur Hinchmore 15th Battalion AIF, served at the Anzac landing on 25 April 1915 and was wounded a week later. He was wounded twice more throughout the war and returned to Australia in late 1918.
