Son of William Robert CROSBIE and Mabel Harriett nee STOVE
Squadron-leader L. J. Crosbie. of Midland Junction, who joined the Royal Air Force from New Zealand about 10 years ago, has been promoted to the rank of wing-commander. He was educated at the Perth Modern School. During his service with the R.A.F., he has trained at several centres and staff colleges in England, including Grantham. Cranwell, Croydon, Northolt and Andover. He was at the Andover staff college when war broke out, and was immediately transferred to the bomber command. He has also served two years in Iraq and a year on the North-West frontier of India. He is a son of Mr. W. . Crosbie, secretary of the Swan Road Board and a former Mayor of Midland Junction. He is 36 years old.
