Husband of Mabel Crawford, 62 Cimitiere Street, Launceston, Tasmania
The funeral of the late Mr. D. A. Crawford took place at Cornelian Bay yesterday afternoon. Among those present were many returned sailors and soldiers, and also officials of the General Post Office. The chief mourners were Messrs. Max and Douglas Crawford, (sons), and Mr. Max Crawford (brother), Mr. Stephenson, and Mr. A. Burns, Messrs. G. W. Muir and A. A. Orchard represented the Hobart Sub branch R.S.S.L.L.A., Mr. T. C. B. Wilkinson (A.I.F. Club), Messrs. Darragh and Dale (Ex-Naval Men's Association and B.E.S.L.). The officers representing the various departments at the Post Office were Messrs. C. Osborne (chief clerk), G. Browne (paymaster), H. W. Dale (inspector), Westbrook, Grimsey, R. Houghton, L. Alexander, and C. Durkin (line yard). Wreaths were sent by the superintendent and staff mail room, G.P.O., president and members Hobart Sub-Branch R.S.S.I.L.A.. 40th Battalion, A.M.F. The Ven. Archdeacon Blackwood officiated at the graveside and "The Last Post" was sounded by Mr. T. Hopkins. Messrs. Clark Bros, carried out the funeral arrangements.
