Prior to arriving in Australia Terence had served as a Bugler & Bandsman in the 48 Berkshire Regiment resigning in 1895 having served for twelve years. He also served in South Africa during 1902 with the British Reserve Regiment.
Next of kin given as his sister Mary Gordon of Skipton Road, London, England.
Commenced return to Australia from Rabaul aboard SS Melusia on 27 October 1919 disembarking on 4 November 1919
