Son of William James Owen and Isabella Owen of Wanganni, NZ. Birth name registered as Henry Owen but was alway called Harry

During 1904c Harry married Hannah Veronica Doyle in Hamilton, NSW. Address at the time of enlistment was George Street, Erskineville, NSW.

Commenced return to Australia on 11 May 1919 aboard HT Borda disembarking on 27 June 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney
