Son of Thomas and Marie Louisa Sutton of Tara Valley, South Gippsoand, Victoria. Brother of William Henry Sutton who was killed in action on 11 August 1918 while serving with the 49th Battalion and was buried in the Beacon Cemetery, Sailley-Laurette. Plot 1, Row J, Grave 6
