Walter Boyd AINSWORTH was born in Ballina, NSW on 13th October, 1887

His parents were James AINSWORTH & Christina WILLIAMS

He married Beatrice STARR in Ballina Methodist Church on 5th May, 1920 - two known children, Merle & Dorothy

He enlisted in Lismore on 16th September, 1916 and embarked from Brisbane with the 4th Pioneer Battalion, 7th reinforcements on the HMAT Kyarra on 17th November, 1916

He returned to Australia on 10th June 1919 and was discharged on 19th September, 1919

Walter died in Canterbury in Sydney on 24th June 1940
