Son of John Oram and Esther Oram nee Kidger of Loughbrough, England.
Prior to coming to Australia George has served with the Loughbrough Volunteers.
Next of kin given as his sister Ruth Ward of Thorpacre, Loughborough, Leicestershire, England
Brother of Benjamin Oram who returned to Australia on 12 November 1919 having served with the 4th Pioneer Battatlion.
Commenced return to Austrlaia on 22 September 1919 aboard HT Port Sydney disembarking on 12 November 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Brisbane
