Son of Peter and Carrie Lorenson; husband of Elizabeth Ann Lorenson of 1 Simons Street, Darlinghurst, NSW

26 June 1917 - transferred from the 22 Battalion to the 17th Field Ambulance

10 September 1917 - returned to Australia on baord HMAT Ulysses for discharge with Tuberculosis

George was employed in the machine department of the Sydney Morning Herald as a casual hand for some years.  He enlisted with Private Hayhurst and the late Private Heady with reinforcements for the 17th Battalion, and afer several months' service in France became ill.  After being some time in hospital he was invalided to Australia, where he died soon after arrival.
