Charles was the eldest of eight children of Evan George Wall (born in Wales, UK) and Margaret Elizabeth Holland (born in Dorchester in Dorset UK)
Charles was living at Bergin's Hiil, Bundamba in Ipswich QLD when he enlisted in the AIF in 1916. He was Wounded in Action on two occasions in France, and on his Discharge in 1919, Charles returned to Ipswich QLD and worked as a Coal Miner.
In 1920, Charles married Elizabeth Cunningham Hardie in Ipswich, QLD, and they continued to live in Bundamba, Ipswich QLD where Charles was working as a Cola Miner.
During the 1930's, Charles and his family mobed to Blue Lagoon at Injune via Roma in QLD where Charles worked as a Miner until the early 1940's when the family returned to Bundamba in Ipswich QLD.
Charles and Elizabeth remained in Bundamba in Ipswich QLD, where Chartles wotrked as a Miner until he retired in 1954. They then moved to Maroochydore in QLD where Charles died in 1969.
