| 16 Jul 1918: | Honoured Military Medal, Citation reads: This N.C.O. at Bouzencourt on the morning of the 5th April 1918 showed great devotion to duty and determination in arranging the charges and leads for the demolition of a bridge over the River Somme, the enemy at the time, having been reported by patrols as being on the opposite bank of the river, The charges had been disarranged and the leads out by ahell fire, requiring a great deal of sl02 and difficult work for repairs under very difficult conditions. | |
