Biography contributed by Sharyn Roberts

Rev. C. M. Churchward, MA.
The Rev. C. M. Churchward, M.A., superintendent of the Lomaiviti Circuit, Fiji, arrived in Sydney by the 'Mariposa' on Monday last. He is seeking special medical treatment and will probably be detained here for some considerable time. Mrs. Churchward and their five children are staying in Suva for the time being.
Mr. Churchward has given over twelve years of earnest and successful work to the Fiji District. For eight years he was stationed in the lonely Eotuma Circuit, where he translated the New Testament, the Hymn Book, and Catechism into the Rotuman language. We are hoping that under the skilful medical treatment of Dr. W. C. McClelland, the Board's Medical Advisor, he may soon be able to return to the work he loves.
