Albert Edward Whitehead lived in Rockhampton before joining the Australian Army, he was born in Gravesend UK. After being discharged from the Army he remained in the UK. His Brother, Thomas Richard Whitehead was killed during WW1, he was a British Soldier, his body was never found. Richard's name is on the Menim Gate. Albert returned to Australia and married Edith Emily Jarvis on 2nd August 1924 in Brisbane. They had 4 children. Albert passed away in Brisbane on the 17th December 1937 leaving a widow and 4 children. He is buried in Toowong Cemeter.
