Michael ANTONY was originally cast on the Roll of Honour as Michael George however in 2013 it was brought to our (AWM) attention that his true birth name was Michael Antony. Subsequently the correct name of Michael Antony was cast on Supplementary Panel 1.

The true birth name can be found on naturalisation papers submitted by his father, George Antony in 1921. It was suspected the name change occurred at the outbreak of the First World War. He was also underage at time of enlistment which may have contributed to the name change.

His parents are buried in Adelaide with the last name Antony.
