Obituary - Auburn William Fowler

Auburn William Fowler, who died on September 12, 1947 at the age of 48 years, lived in Grafton for many years. He was the first superintendent appointed for the Rathgar Children's Home at South Grafton and Mrs. Fowler was matron.
Born at Glen Innes, he was a member of the Post Office staff until he enlisted in the First World War. On discharge he moved to Kyogle, but after some years retired on account of ill health and lived at Brunswick Heads. After leaving Rathgar Home, he was employed at the Federal Match Factory Grafton. He was survived by his wife. - John Johnston
