TARCUTTA

The Rev. D D Carruthers has received an urgent wire to the effect that Private Percy Oswald Jamieson of the 2nd Battalion late Light Trench Mortar Battery died of wounds on April, 9.  The sad news was conveyed by the Rector of Tarcutta parish to the mother of the deceased.  This is one case (of which we find many) where the sons made a home for their mother and ably supported her long before the war broke out.  These are our best, men who work and think and are anxious to fight for the liberty of others.  Summed up in one word - unselfish.

A memorial service will be held at Westbrook where the mother lives on Sunday morning
