Son of Ralph Undery and Margaret Undery nee Kelly of Wardell, NSW.
13 February 1915 - enlisted at Balllina, NSW with the 25th Battalion with the rank of Private.
6 April 1916 - transferred to the 31st Battalion
Commenced return to Australia on 21 March 1919 aboard HT Kildonian Castle
17 July 1919 - discharged at the 1st Military District as medically unfit disembarking on 15 May 1919
Medals: Military Medal, 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal
20 August 1919 - awarded Military Medal, Citation reads:- At Bellicourt on the 29th September 1918 this man was a No. 1 Lewis Gunner. He showed splendid initiative and bravery in repeatedly manoeuvering his gun into positions favourable for covering fire, thus materially assisting the advance of his company. HIS work throughout the whole three days during which the Battalion was engaged in these operations was splendid.
