Biography contributed by Kathleen Bambridge

Died while on a destert march from Canal to Gaza.  A bronze horse and rider was to be errected on the banks of the canal in his memory by the men giving a days pay and the family's offerings no one else was allowed to give.  He was a man who never grumbled.
