Son of William and Rachel Cooke of 1 Vincent Walke, South Hampton, England

2 February 1916 - Found guilty in Ismailia of being AWOL from 16 January 1916 at 0900 until 26 January 1916 at 0900; and of  disobeying an order given by his Superior Officer he was awarded 10 days' Field Punishment.

19 March 1916 Found guilty of being AWOL from 2100  until  20 March 1916 at 1000 and awarded 14 days' Field Punishment.
