Son of Thomas Howes and Florence Nightingale Howes nee Pinkerton of Chiltern, Victoria

Commenced return to Australia on 22 July 1919 aboard HT Ulysses disembarking on 2 September 1919.

During 1923c Thomas married Mary Teresa Ryan in Victoria
