Obituary - Mr Alfred Thomas Wynne

The Northern Star reported on 20 April 1943 that the death occurred suddenly at the Ryde Memorial Hospital on April 9 of Alfred Thomas Wynne, aged 50 years.

The late Mr. Wynne war born at Ryde, New South Wales and at an early age came with his parents to Lismore. He served with the A.I.F. for the duration of the Great War, being present at the landing at Gallipoli. Mr. Wynne was for 35 years a member of the N.S.W. Government Railways.

He married Daisy Florence Jarrett at the Bangalow Methodist Church in 1922.

His remains were cremated at the Northern Suburbs Crematorium, the service being conducted by the Rev. Fullerton. Members of the Returned Soldiers' League formed a guard of honour. A widow and one sister survive.
