Biography

"...Midshipman Kenneth Arthur Seddon, RAN, originally of Truro, SA. Seddon joined the RAN in 1933, and after graduating as a Midshipman in 1937 was loaned to the Royal Navy for service and training, achieving the rank of Sub-Lieutenant. He returned to the RAN in September 1939 and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant (Lt) the following year. In 1945 he became ill and was discharged to shore duties. Lt Seddon was transferred to the retired list in 1946 and served with the Royal Australian Navy Volunteer Reserve (RANVR) at HMAS Torrens. He died of illness on 31 January 1947 at Daws Road Military Hospital, Adelaide, SA, aged 27." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
