Peter Olaf ANDERSON was born in South Melbourne in 1890

His parents were Eric Ludwig ANDERSON & Jane YON

He enlisted on 29th February, 1916 in Melbourne as a Private and was promoted to Corporal on 30th April, 1916 - he embarked with the 37th Infantry Battalion ,1st reinforcements (D Coy) from Melbourne on 3rd June, 1916 on board the HMAT Persic

Peter was Killed in Action in France on 8th January, 1917 and is buried in the Cite Bonjean Cemetery (Plot IV, Row C, Grave 37)

His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial
