Percival Spurgeon Septimus SIVYER was born on 25th October, 1893 in Cooroy, Queensland
His parents were Spencer SIVYER and Harriet CORAM who married on 23rd July, 1881 in Bundaberg, Queensland - his father was from Sussex in England and his mother from Devon, England
Percival enlisted on 22nd June, 1914 (Service No. Q23905) with the Queensland Light Horse & Infantry before he enlisted to serve in WW1 on 22nd June, 1918 & embarked with the 8th Reinforcements on the ship SS Carpentaria on 7th November, 1918 from Sydney, NSW
Only days after embarking , the war ended and the ship was recalled & he was transhipped aboard the 'Riverina' and returned to Australia, arriving back at the end of November, 1918 - he was discharged on 28th December, 1918 - he was awarded the British War Medal
Percival died on 19th September, 1961 in Brisbane and is buried in Lutwyche Cemetery
