After WWII
UNCONFIRMED (from Timothy R Harper)
I had been told BC returned from the war and married Maisie. He had been a lodger above her father’s bakery.
BC studied accounting using the Australian equivalent to the GI Bill. As he had not sat an exam since school he apparently sat the final exam a year early for practice. Apparently he topped Australia?
He worked for GMH and rose to become Company Secretary and Supply Director.
Apparently he was sent to Japan shortly after WWII to source steel for Holden production. His assistant had a breakdown due to the pressure to lock in orders for production (or 3 months later Holden would run out).
