Son of John Olson and Mary Ellen Olson of Kiptan Street, Surry Hills, NSW.

Commenced return to Australia on 13 April 1919 aboard HT Suffolk but failed to re-embark at Melbourne on 31 May 1919 recommenced return to Sydney on 2 June 1919 aboard HT Wyreema disembarking on 3 June 1919

During 1923c Frederick married Doris W. Nichols in NSW.
