Son of Matthew MARWOOD and Mary Ann nee FENNER
Husband of Isabella Field MARWOOD nee COTTIER, Geelong, Victoria
GEELONG, Thursday. — Dr. Arthur William Marwood died at his home, Latrobe Terrace, Geelong this morning. He was a son of the late Matthew Marwood, a colonist who arrived in
Victoria in 1858.
The death occurred at Geelong yesterday on the 67th anniversary of his birth of Dr Arthur William Marwood. Dr Marwood was born at Brighton, and about 40 years ago he was appointed resident medical officer at the Geelong Hospital. Later he was in private practice in Geelong, where, except for the time during which he was on service in the Great War, he had lived since. He was a keen cricketer and bowler. He served with the A.I.F., and while in Egypt he contracted a malady which affected his spine and in recent years caused him to lead a retired life. The funeral will take place today at half-past 3 o'clock.
