Son of Walter BARRITT and Ellen ne CAPPER

Caw Barritt was privately tutuored at home with the Gilberts at Pewsey Vale and by Lyndoch's Anglican Priest, before time at Hahndorf College.  Following his graduation from Roseworthy college, he went jackerooing on a station near Broken Hill.  LIk emany other Hanhdorf College students, Caw Barritt served in World War I.  Later he lived as a grazier on his proerty 'Tremar' near Riverton.  Cawthorne was a keen cricketer, horseman and polo player.
