Son of Ernest and Kate ROBINSON, Flora Avenue, Mildura, Victoria
Among the early enlisters from -Mildura was Albert Robinson, eldest son of Mr and Mrs E. H. Robinson, of Lime-avenue, himself at the time an employe of Mr R. H. Hawke, blacksmith. "Bert" met a former shop-mate named Quayle in Egypt and they were appointed to the same gun section and remained together throughout the Gallipoli campaign. Bert left Egypt for France, where he saw considerable fighting and finally, alas, was killed while in action. His record was one of long and faithful service, but sorrow over his death is none the Iess poignant. He was a fine fellow, a good son and deservedly popular in a large circle of acquaintances.
There are still two other brothers on service. Keen sympathy is felt for Mr and Mrs Robinson and other members of the family in the hour of their sad bereavement.
