George Milner Family History

When George Abraham Milner was born in 1894 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, his father, Henry, was 27 and his mother, Ann, was 25. He had three brothers, Henry {my Granddad}, Walter, Ernest and three sisters Jane, Margaret and Kate. He died on 7 September 1919 at the age of 25, and was buried in a Commonwealth Grave in Fremantle, Western Australia.
Ernest, Margaret, Kate and himself were placed into the Workhouse in Worksop and Sheffield at different times. Margaret at the approximate age of 11 was sent to Canada where she lived till her death in 1933 approximately 36. Ernest was adopted from the Workhouse at the approximate age of 11, he also served in the military, and we believe Kate sadly died whilst in the Workhouse as a baby.
George was in D Company Chatsworth Rifles/Sherwood Foresters prior to going to Australia and serving with the 28 Battalion Australian Imperial Military Force and 16 SER Australian Commonwealth Military Force. He served in France and Gallipoli. He had three medals awarded to him. The Star nos:45935, British War Medal nos: 3365? and the Victory Medal nos: 3861 or 3361 {difficult to read the exact dates. He suffered shell shock a couple of times.
