Maude enlisted as a Matron with the Australian Army Nursing Service on 29.1.1917 and embarked on 14.10.1918 in Sydney per “Wyreema”. She was the Matron for No 8 Section Sea Transport on duty on Ship “Wyreema”.

Awarded Royal Red Cross (Second class) 25.7.1917.
