Husband of Laura Orford nee Green of 'Iolanthe', Fitzroy Street, Marrickville, NSW. George and Laura married during 1913c in Ashfield, NSW.

Commenced return to Australia on 5 July 1919 aboard HT Port Melbourne disembarking on 20 August 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney
