Edgar Murray Talbot (born In December of 1887) was an Australian World War 1 soldier born and raised in Mount Pleasant, South Australia. Edgar had blue eyes, dark brown hair and stood at 5’8 and was underweight for his height. Edgar was also single at the age of 28, as shown by addressing his mother as his next of kin. Edgar enlisted into the Army on the 2nd of February 1916 and then embarked and was sent abroad on the 11 of April the same year in the 32nd Battalion. Unfortunately, in the November of 1916 he saw himself getting shot in the chest during action, nearly killing him. Wounded, Edgar was transferred on the 1st of January to Colchester Hospital for his injury. After nearly a year of recovery in England, he embarked a boat back to Australia from England, to discharge him completely from the war. On the 11th of September, Edgar disembarked the boat into Fremantle and a month and a half later on the 23rd of October 1917, he was formally discharged from the A.I.F. Edgar Murray Talbot died on the 10th of March 1964 and was buried at Tungkillo Cemetery in South Australia.
