The Minmi Roll of Honour has 79 names inscribed of those who returned home from The Great War.
The 39th name inscribed is Private Adam Duncan.
Served during The Great War, resting at Sandgate Cemetery.
On the 19th November 1965, Private Adam Duncan, 35th Battalion (Reg No-1109), labourer from School Hill, Minmi, New South Wales and Wyong?, N.S.W., was laid to rest at Sandgate Cemetery, age 79 years 2 months. PRESBYTERIAN-A16. 15.
Born at Minmi, New South Wales on the 31st August 1886 to Andrew, remarried to Elizabeth Duncan nee Duncan?, 1900, Minmi, N.S.W., Andrew died 7.7.1916, Minmi, N.S.W., age 63, buried at Minmi Cemetery, Right Hand Side, Section 30, Plot 053, from School Hill, Minmi, New South Wales, Elizabeth Duncan living at Brown's Hill, Minmi, N.S.W. (1919), and Janet Duncan, died 14.12.1893, Minmi, N.S.W., age 38, sleeping at Minmi Cemetery, Right Hand Side, Section 30, Plot 053, no funeral notice, from School Hill, Minmi, New South Wales; husband of Agnes Kay Duncan nee Wilson, married 6.3.1918 at the Registry Office, Willesden, London, United Kingdom, died 1953, sleeping here.
Adam enlisted on the 14th December 1915, age 29 years 3 months, at Newcastle, N.S.W.
Unit embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board HMAT A24 Benalla on the 1st May 1916.

Proceeded O/Seas to France from Southampton, England 21.11.1916.
Wounded in action - 7.5.1917 (shell shock - neurasthenia).
Granted leave to England from 25.2.1918 to 11.3.1918.
Commenced return to Australia 23.7.1919.
Adam arrived home with wife Agnes on the 14th September 1919, being discharged on the 7th November 1919.
Mr. Duncan’s name has also been inscribed on the Minmi St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Roll of Honour.
Not officially commemorated.
The headstone plaque is now almost unreadable, and I have placed poppies and a 1914-1918 WAR label at the gravesite in remembrance of his service and sacrifice for God, King & Country.
