Husband of Maude Frances Upton nee Evans of Fitzgerald Street, North Perth, WA. Gordon and Maude married in Perth, WA, during 1915c.
7 June 1915 - enlisted at Kalgoorlie with the 5th Pioneer Battalion and with the rank of Private.
29 April 1919 - promoted to Corporal
30 October 1919 - promoted to Sergeant
Commenced return to Australia on 5 March 1919 aboard HT Nevasa disembarking on 13 April 1919
Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal
31 May 1919 - discharged at the 5th Military District as medically unfit due to rheumatism and incontinence.
