Date unknown:	Honoured Military Medal, For conspicuous bravery and devotion to duty. During the operations near CHUIGNOLLES on 23rd and 24th August, 1918, Private HORNER was in charge of a squad of bearers working from the foremost R.A.P. He repeatedly led his men across heavily shelled country to rescue wounded. He showed a fine example of courage and endurance.' Source: 'Commonwealth Gazette' No. 115 Date: 10 October 1919
