Son of Henry James Osborne and Isabella Osborne nee Curtis of Cintra Avenue, St Kilda, Victoria.
William gave other occupations as Chaffeur and Electrician
Commenced return to Australia (first time) 4 August 1915 aboard HT Port Lincoln disembarking on 2 September 1915. When or if he returned to Australia the second time is unknown as he had deserted in 1918 until 1920 when he arrived at Australia House, London.
