Died on this date - Pte Alfred Alwin Dreckow arrived at Fovant, Wilts for training on 13 Aug 1918. Sent to Hospital at Codford with mumps then Hospital at Hurdcott. Re-admitted to Hurdcott & transferred to Fovant seriously ill with Broncho Pneumonia. Died on 19 October, 1918.
Private Alfred Alwin Dreckow died at 12.15 am on 19th October, 1918. He was buried in Compton Chamberlayne War Graves Cemetery where 27 other Australian WW1 Soldiers are buried.
