Percival Rash was a farmer of Brisbane, Qld and formerly a piano tuner and repairer of Beecroft, NSW prior to enlistment.
He embarked from Brisbane with the 10th Reinforcements (25th Btn) on HMAT Commonwealth (A73) on 28 March 1916. After being hit in the chest by machine gun fire he was taken to the 25th Regimental Field Aid post and died 3 or 4 days later, aged 28, on 19 October 1916 at Ypres, Belgium, and is buried at Vlamertinghe Military Cemetery.
His will simply stated 'Everything to Mother'
