CARPENTER KILLED.
WARRNAMBOOL. Sunday.-John Herbert Chaffey, aged 22 years, Carpenter, of Koroit, who was employed on the reconstruction of St. John's Presbyterian Church, fell from the parapet on Saturday, and sustained injuries from which he died in hospital on Sunday morning.

FALL FROM ROOF.
On Saturday a young man named John Herbert Chaffey, aged 21, of Koroit, while working at the new roof of St. John’s Presbyterian Church, fell from the top of the wall, a distance of about 30 feet. He sustained a fracture of the base of the skull, and died at 4 o’clock on Sunday morning. Deceased was a returned soldier.
