Son of Edward William Huish and Amelia Ann Huish nee Goss of Rundle Estate, Rundle Street, Rockhampton, QLD.
Brother of Harold Arthur Frederick Huish who returned to Australia on 3 August 1919 having served with the 5th Light Horse Regiment and Raymond Douglas Huish on 3 August 1919 having served with the 5th Light Horse Regiment
Commenced return to Australia on 26 July 1919 aboard HT Burma disembarking on 2 September 1919 at Sydney for onward travel to Brisbane.
