He was awarded a Life Membership of the RSL South Australia.  At St Peters he servwed as assitant secretary from 1937 to 1947 and then as secretary 1948 to 1954.  Edward was a good worker for the Sub Branch.

Son of Charles Oliver and Catherine Oliver nee Williams of Milang, SA.

Commenced return to Australia on 21 July 1917 abaord HS Euripides on 13 September 1917 at Fremantle then re-embarked on HT Nestor on 20 September 1917 for Adelaide

Medals: 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

On 27 November 1920 Edward married Esther Blanche McCarron in the St Pauls Retreat, Glen Osmond, SA.

At the time of his death Edward was residing in Payneham South, SA.
