Son of Peter Goode, Victoria Barracks, Paddington, Sydney, New South Wales

Son of Mrs Mary Goode, Houster Road, South Kensington, Sydney, New South Wales

Richard embarked  21 December 1914 for active service in Egypt, but returned to Australia and was discharged as medically unfit 19 August 1915.  He re-enlisted at Charters Towers almost 12 months later on 27 May 1916.  Embarking on 7 Stpember 1916 he proceeded to France where he was wounded in April 1917.  Once again he was invalided back to Australia and discharged as medically unit 01 November 1917.
