Died on this date - 3rd September.......Wilfred Waddingham was born at Bunbury, Western Australia in 1895.

He was a 20 year old Farmer when he enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force (A.I.F.) on 22nd February, 1916.


Private Waddingham, Service number 4574, left Fremantle, Western Australia on 31st March, 1916, landed in Egypt before finally disembarking in England on 12th June, 1916 for further training.


Private Wilfred Waddingham was found dead in his tent at Rollestone – Camp 13, Wiltshire on 3rd September, 1916. A Post Mortem was held & no cause of death found.

He was buried in Durrington Cemetery, Wiltshire, England where 140 other Australian WW1 Soldiers are buried.
