Albert Gustavus FARQUHAR was born in Jetson, Scottsdale, Tasmania on 9th March, 1887

His parents were Alexander David FARQUHAR & Amelia Jane HARDY

He enlisted in Liverpool, NSW on 14th July, 1915 and embarked from Sydney with the 1st Infantry Battalion, 11th Reinforcements on 5th October, 1915 on the HMAT Themistocles

Albert was Killed in Action at Pozieres in France on 22nd July, 1916 - no known grave

His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Villers Bretonneux Memorial
