Private B. J. Young is a son of Mr. J. Young, of Queen-street, Bendigo, and a brother of Mr. E. H. Young, a member of the firm of Richards and Co., estate agents at Albert Park and at Elwood. Private Young was employed in the mails branch of the G.P.O., and was one of the very first to volunteer for active service at the commencement of the war.
