Frederick Westbrooke BATESON was born in Westbrooke Station near Wellington in South Australia on 5th April, 1877
His parents were Richard Henry BATESON & Caroline HARSLETT
He married Sybil Agnes Burt TAYLOR in Perth, WA in 1906
Frederick served in both the Boer War and WW1
Biography
Also served with 2nd Battalion Australian Commonwealth Horse. Enlisted AIF 17 August 1914, Driver Australian Army Service Corps, promoted Corporal, awarded Military Medal for bravery in the field 30 September 1917, returned to Australia 23 September 1918.
